It's a slightly strange article that came out yesterday on the site motogp.com, concerning the probable arrival of Finland in the Grand Prix calendar.

Alternating between the simple future and the conditional, it tells us absolutely nothing since, as early as July 2016, we knew that an agreement had been signed in this sense (see here).

However, what we will take as a sort of tacit confirmation only makes sense as a precursor to a much more official and detailed announcement...

As a reminder, the last Finnish Grand Prix dates back to 1981, on the exotic circuit in Imatra (see photo) while the next one will take place on the circuit of Kymiring designed by the British company Apex.

The calendar will thus increase to at least 19 events, subject to approval of the circuit.

Twenty Grands Prix is ​​the maximum that the teams have committed to doing, in place of the current 18.
