The Tech 3 driver made a good start to the season in Brno and wants to continue his momentum in Austria this weekend.

Hafiz Syahrin can be satisfied with his Brno Grand Prix where he passed a milestone during testing. Leader of the Yamaha in FP2, he showed that he was progressing and once again entered the points in the race. Currently the best rookie in MotoGP, he is keen to keep this place until the end of the season, but this will not be easy with an opponent like Franco Morbidelli, reigning Moto2 world champion.

With two points ahead of his rival, Syahrin hopes to be able to achieve a better result in Austria than his fourteenth place in order to score more points and increase his lead. To achieve this, he is determined to work hard and continue to improve his driving style by observing the top drivers in the category.

He could therefore do great things again this weekend, and will, in any case, do everything to do so: “We have two races back to back and I'm really looking forward to Austria. I want to improve my riding, increase my experience with the bike and score more points this weekend than at the Brno Grand Prix. I am extremely excited about the idea of racing on the Spielberg track in the premier category. This is going to be a lot of fun. We will see what we can do, especially in terms of the battle for the title of best rookie which I want to win. I also want to learn from more experienced drivers, work hard and get closer little by little. »
