The Red Bull KTM Ajo team had its best race since the start of the season and saw its two riders enter the top 4 in the race with a victory. The team thus leaves second in the Championship.

All like Sky Racing Team VR46, within the Red Bull KTM Ajo team, it was the rider who had the most difficulty since the start of the season who achieved the team's best result on Sunday. While Brad Binder encountered problems in the race since the start of the season and had never managed to finish better than sixth, he went to achieve the first victory of his career.

An incredible result which suddenly erased all the problems encountered since Qatar: “I tried not to do anything crazy at the start, because I knew our rivals would be a little faster than us, and everything went perfectly. I managed to overtake many drivers in the first laps and then, seeing that I had sufficient pace to do so, I got back to the front of the race. At the end I had to be careful because my rear tire was very worn and I really struggled in the last laps. I led but it was very hard, because on the last lap I also missed going high side in the first turn. It was amazing to get the win and I don't have enough words to thank my team for their help. Honestly I still don't realize, it doesn't seem real. This year we had a lot of difficulty and now we have won. We couldn't have finished the first part of the season in a better way. »

For its part, Miguel Oliveira once again, had half-hearted tests before missing out on his qualifications, his weak point since the start of the season. Qualified fifteenth, he once again had to make an excellent start to the race to move up. Arriving in fourth position, he attacked to catch third but did not succeed, finishing just off the podium.

Even if he would have liked to get on the podium again, he scored valuable points for the Championship against Francesco Bagnaia who lost big at the start of the race: “The race was really tough, but it's a shame not to have been able to get back to the front group because I felt good. I wanted the podium, and that's why I fought for third place until the last laps, but in the end we gave up a little. I am very happy with my result, especially regarding the title, because we got closer to the leader. Now we are seven points behind and that motivates us a lot to continue working when we return after the summer break. »
