The Moto3 riders arrive at the Sachsenring track for the ninth meeting of the season, the last before the summer break. Everyone therefore wants to have a good weekend to go on vacation with peace of mind, but the races are always uncertain. Jorge Martín knows something about this, having twice been involved in accidents while preparing to win or make a podium. Winner at Assen, he took back the lead of the Championship from Marco Bezzecchi who fell on the last lap. The dice are therefore completely rerolled, especially as Fabio Di Giannantonio and Arón Canet are gradually catching up. Who will do best this weekend?

Hostilities begin Friday at 9 a.m.

Here are the results compared on the Sachsenring circuit between 2017 and 2018.

Jorge Martín (Del Conca Gresini) did not waste any time in this first session and immediately established the reference time in 1'30.025 before continuing the fast laps. After ten minutes, he was still leading and improved his time to 1'27.771, already a tenth better than the best time in FP1 that he set last year. The tone is set !

Behind him, we find the teammates Marco Bezzecchi et Jakub Kornfeil (PruestlGP), as well asEnea Bastianini (Leopard Racing) and Ayumu Sasaki (Petronas Sprinta Racing).

Mid-session, Jorge Martin is still in the lead Marco Bezzecchi et Nicholas Bulega (Sky Racing Team VR46) which is definitely back in business after a very difficult period. It precedes Jakub Kornfeil et Enea Bastianini. Then come Ayumu Sasaki, John Mcphee (CIP – Green Power), Raul Fernandez (Red Bull KTM Ajo), came to replace Darryn binder, injured, as well as Marcos Ramirez (Bester Capital Dubai) and Lorenzo Dalla Porta (Leopard Racing).

In the last minutes, Aron Canet (Estrella Galicia 0,0) comes in second place. He was then dethroned by Philipp Oettl (Sudmetal Schedl GP Racing) which runs at home. Jorge Martín ends as he started the session: in first place.
