The top five in the Championship were, once again, the protagonists of the Grand Prix. But between a victory, a podium and a top 5 for some and a fall for others, they don't all go on vacation with a good result. Here's what they said.

Jorge Martín (Winner of the race and 1st in the Championship with 130 points)
“The weekend was incredible, we had a perfect bike and great pace. The idea was to save the tires for last and attack then. I stayed in the group at the start and there were some aggressive riders, including Fabio who hit me. I miraculously stayed on my wheels, and when I saw that Arenas and Rodrigo were coming back, I decided to attack. It's a big victory but we can't let our guard down because Bezzecchi is very strong, but we go into the summer break as leaders and that's important. »

Marco Bezzecchi (2nd in the race and 2nd in the Championship with 123 points)
“The race was really difficult, but it ended with a very good result. After my crash in Assen, I really wanted to get back on the podium, and luckily I managed to do it. The race was very long and the tires were at the limit from the start. I'm really happy with my second place and I'm happy for the team and for the many sponsors and fans who were there at Sachsenring. We are not far from Championship leader Jorge Martín and we will be back in action in Brno. »

Aron Canet (5th in the race and 3rd in the Championship with 92 points)
“I think we could do better than fifth. I had better pace than some of my rivals, but I struggled to pass them on the straight. I had a lot of contact with other drivers during the race and found myself detached. It was complicated to come back to overtake. I could regain a few meters when braking, but not overtake. I would have liked to get a much better result. »

Fabio Di Giannantonio (Fall during the race and 4th in the Championship with 91 points)
“We had a good race, I drove cleanly, I was fast and I saved my tires well. I had room for the end of the race. Unfortunately, halfway through the race, Jorge closed the door in a corner and I tried to recover but I fell and hit him too… I'm not too upset because we were really strong. Of course, we lost a lot of points, but now we can use the break to recharge our batteries and arrive ready in Brno. »

Enea Bastianini (Fall in the race and 5th in the Championship with 84 points)
“Everything went well during the Warm Up, I was ready, the bike too, I had a good feeling with the hard tire and had made excellent times. In the race I immediately started to lose places due to instability at the rear. Unfortunately, this situation lasted the whole race and I really struggled in the fast left corners. I tried to attack but fell. It's a shame because we lost important points. We will arrive in Brno determined! »
