It's time to assert yourself! The Moto3s launch the qualifying series which will brighten up the afternoon of the German Grand Prix at the Sachsenring. Raul Fernández, Sasaki, Marcos Ramirez have been the successive leaders since Friday. On the other hand, Masiá, Arbolino, McPhee but also the championship leader Canet still have everything to prove in this ninth round of the calendar. And for good reason, since we find them in Q1. Where four drivers will emerge to compete for the best places on the starting grid.
Who will be the happy ones and who will be the disappointed ones? Before answering this question, here is the table which summarizes the facts experienced so far…

26° in the air and 42° on the track and a big blue sky are the conditions offered to the drivers for both 15 minutes of the qualifying session. Canet achieves a 1'27.164 as a first reference. Kornfeil, Masaki et McPhee are also in the right car for the climb to Q2. Six minutes from the goal, almost everyone returns to the stand before the last attack. It will be noted thatArbolino, double winner this season and fourth in the championship, did not come out. He will therefore play his fate on one run.
The last two minutes are underway when the pilots finally come out. Don't miss it, your nerves are on edge. Arbolino stalls and he seems to ruin his chances of doing well. Playing with fire, the Snipers pilot almost burns his wings. With five seconds left under the checkered flag, he remained on the floor...
Drama for @TonyArbolino as he leaves pit lane! 😲

Ogura slams a 1'26.396 in front Foggia, Kornfeil et McPhee. Arbolino is the first eliminated and Canet is only eighth. The championship leader will start 22nd. This is the first twist of this Saturday afternoon!

Q2 is launched with 1° less on the track, i.e. 41°. There are only five KTMs in the workforce. Against twelve Hondas. Garcia fall in the last bend of the route. Pilot Estrella is stunned. Cornfeel sets the bar at 1'26.588 on his first attempt. The Leopard drivers leave the pits together. Salac et Cornfeel are also accompanied, but team cohesion does not seem to be acquired...
fenati achieved a 1'26.480, but he rolled off the track. So he has to redo everything.
Painful start to Q2 for Sergio Garcia! 😲

The epilogue of this soap opera with twists and turns gives a Sasaki in 1'26.135 ahead Tuff et Ramirez. Dallas Port follows in front fenati et Kornfeil. Antonelli is only 17th. For Japan, this is a first since Ui in 2003.
