The free sessions for the German Grand Prix are among the tightest since the start of the season. Indeed, no driver truly dominated since it was in turn Jorge Martín, Philipp Oettl and Lorenzo Dalla Porta who finished at the top of the sessions. Qualifying therefore remains completely open and could see a new driver take pole position. Start of hostilities at 12:35 p.m.

The weather hasn't really changed since this morning since the sky is cloudy and it's 22 degrees in the air. On the other hand, the temperature of the track increased from 25 to 42 degrees, enough to make the tires suffer.
Philipp Oettl (Sudmetal Schedl GP Racing) is once again the first to start, and Jorge Martín (Del Conca Gresini) to set the reference time in 1'26.692.

Marco Bezzecchi (PruestlGP) falls in turn 3 at the start of his first timed lap, and is then imitated by Lorenzo Dalla Porta (Leopard Racing) which, on the other hand, suffered a big high side in turn 1.
After ten minutes, Jorge Martín is still in the lead gabriel rodrigo (RBA BOE Skull Rider), Aron Canet (Estrella Galicia 0,0) Enea Bastianini (Leopard Racing), John Mcphee (CIP – Green Power) and the guest pilot Ai Ogura (Asia Talent Team).
Mid-session, Marco Bezzecchi sets off again and can finally set his first time, he who occupies last place due to his fall. Up front, the places in the top five have barely changed. Jorge Martin always leads Gabriel Rodrigo, Aron Canet, Philipp Oettl et Enea Bastianini. Behind, we find John Mcphee, Ai Ogura, Marcos Ramirez (Bester Capital Dubai), Tony Arbolino (Marinelli Snipers Team) and Jaume Masia (Bester Capital Dubai) which seems to have recovered from its big fall this morning.

At the same time, Kaito Toba (Honda Team Asia) falls and is taken to the Medical Center for checks. Likewise, Canet is the victim of a high side in turn 1, as Dalla Porta at the start of the session.
The entire field returns to the pits and only comes out for the last five minutes. The top 5 keeps moving and several drivers alternate: Arbolino, Bezzecchi, farmhouse, Sasaki… For his part, Martín continues to turn in fast laps and effortlessly overtakes each driver in front of him before improving his own time. No one is able to overtake him, and he thus offers himself the fifteenth pole position of his career, the sixth of this season.
