At the time, we saw the French driver holding his left wrist but, after a visit to the circuit's medical center, it turned out that the Nice driver was suffering more from his shoulder.
After he was examined by the doctors, Canal + gave them the floor to broadcast some not necessarily very reassuring news from the Petronas pilot…
“Fabio suffers from a subluxation (incomplete dislocation) of the left shoulder. He already suffered from a dislocation 2 years ago. Today it's just a subluxation. We do cryotherapy and we will use painkillers. He is in pain but his shoulder is now pretty normal. It's just a subluxation. The shoulder came out but went back in immediately. It hurts a lot but we treat it with cryotherapy. Will it be roadworthy? It depends on how he can manage his pain. This will be the key.”
More positive, his team fortunately announces its participation in FP4:
After his high-speed save in FP3, an x-ray shows that @fabioq20 suffered a very small partial dislocation of his left shoulder. Fortunately, he'll be able to ride in FP4 later to assess his condition.#PETRONASMOTORSPORTS #BarracudaMoto #GermanGP
