Being an official Yamaha rider has been frustrating for a year now. It's not that the bike doesn't perform well. But it remains unable to play for victory so well that it requires enormous in-depth work from its drivers during practice before having to play tight to hope for a podium in the race. In this game, Valentino Rossi is not doing so badly since he is second in the championship despite Argentina's blank result. Second overall of course, but without ever being able to envisage regular success in a Grand Prix…

In Assen, the realization could have been glimpsed, but it did not come. This weekend, at the Sachsenring, it is improbable since the German track has only had one master since 2013 in MotoGP: Marc Márquez. The fact remains that it is the last stage before the summer break and it is well known that to have a good vacation, you must be inhabited by the serene feeling of a job well done.

A rule that also applies to the Doctor: “ the route suits our bike quite well and it will be important to find the right entry settings. We will have to be in the game from the first practice session if we want to envisage a podium in the race as we experienced at Assen which was the last meeting. I can't wait to get back into the fray after what we experienced in the Netherlands ».

« I'm confident because during the last race, I was good on the bike and my team did a good job. After this meeting, it will be the summer break and we will do everything to finish this first part of the season on a good note ».
