The Championship leader arrives at one of his favorite circuits and looks set to perform well once again.

Marc Márquez has never hidden the fact that he adores the Aragon route, and this one reflects it well by dedicating a turn to it. The inauguration will take place this Thursday and could be an additional source of motivation for the Repsol Honda rider.

He already has a good track record at Aragon, with four victories (one in Moto2 in 2011 and three in MotoGP in 2013, 2016 and 2017), a podium (in Moto2 in 2012) and six pole positions (one in 125cc in 2010). , one in Moto2 in 2011 and four in MotoGP in 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016). With the addition of a lead of 67 points in the Championship over the second, Andrea Dovizioso, all the elements are there for this weekend on Spanish soil to go well.

However, as always, Márquez prefers not to take things for granted until they are completed: “Aragon is one of my favorite circuits on the calendar. It's a track where I normally feel good and where I can drive really well. I can't wait to ride in front of my fans, and this year will be special since it will be the first time that a circuit will dedicate a turn to me. I'm very excited about this idea! Last year we arrived here with the same number of Championship points, but this season we have an advantage. This does not mean that we have already won, on the contrary, we must continue to work hard because the Ducatis seem to be fast and consistent on all circuits. We need to find something that allows us to fight against them in the best possible way. In Aragon we will try to be competitive from the start and find a good base of settings in order to prepare ourselves well for the weekend. »
