Four Yamaha in a MotoGP repechage session, this is the major fact of this Q.1 even before the first laps of the drivers, only two of whom will be able to continue the adventure in this qualifying procedure. Aragon is a way of the cross for Iwata's men, some of whom will inevitably be left behind. Especially since the competition will take its chance, from Morbidelli to Smith, once again the only KTM representative, since Pol Espargaro has once again damaged his body to the point of having to throw in the towel...

28° in the air and 45° on the track, these are the conditions proposed for this challenging exercise. In 1'47.823, Vinales set the tone ahead Morbidely who inserts his Honda between the Yamahas of zarco et Red. The leader is the only one under the 1'48 mark. Things get complicated for Yamaha when Nakagami registered in third place at the end of the first short half.
The second is also the last chance for the protagonists. And in particular for the Doctor who is currently fifteenth absolute on the starting grid, behind Johann zarco...

Smith climbs third after being hampered. zarco takes his place but it is not enough to be drafted. Nakagami, on the other hand succeeded in placing second in Vinales. the Frenchman will be fourteenth at the start of the race and Red downright eighteenth… he had never done worse since Assen… 2006!
