Barely dismounted from his official Ducati GP18 after having obtained pole position at the last minute on the starting grid of the Aragon Grand Prix, Jorge Lorenzo spoke to the microphone of the official website MotoGP.com with great joy...

Jorge, a brilliant last lap which gave you pole position. Before your last run, you studied with your technician certain givens. Did this help you?

Jorge Lorenzo : “well, well we tried to like we tried a little bit to improve the electronics and that kind of thing, but we didn't have too much time, qualifying is difficult. Yes, the problem was that there was a lot of traffic, traffic jams like in moto3, so it was difficult to keep my concentration because I knew that if I didn't improve my time, I could be in 2nd row. So I had to attack on the last lap. But I no longer had the same tire because after 3 laps, it is at 70% and you no longer have the same performance as when it was new. And I also didn't know if they wanted to attack in the last lap or if they wanted to have fun. In the end, and fortunately for me, they attacked and I had a clear lead to try. But it was difficult to make a 46.8 because the rear tire was slipping a lot.”
