Barely dismounted from his official Yamaha M1 after winning the Australian Grand Prix, it is undoubtedly a Maverick Vinales, very happy to have found a competitive machine and put an end to a series of 25 races without victory for Yamaha, who is confided to the microphone of the official site MotoGP.com.

Maverick, with this victory, you go down in history as the one who stopped Yamaha's longest unsuccessful streak. Does this make you happy?

Maverick Vinales : “I feel incredibly good!” Honestly, it's been a very difficult year for me and I can't realize that I won. The bike was perfect today and I gave it my best. I really have to thank the team because they did a massive job this weekend to give me a winning bike, which was the goal. When I crossed the finish line, tears streamed down my face, and I remembered all those people who support me so much and who give me extra motivation in difficult times. Honestly, it's amazing! Winning in Australia, which is a place I like to be… so I'm not sure I'll catch my flight tomorrow (laughs).”
