Barely titled, the Honda Repsol driver must refocus for the Australian Grand Prix which starts on Friday. There will be two new world crowns to play for.

Marc Márquez had his first title opportunity in Japan and he seized it in style. He thus won the race and was crowned World Champion for the seventh time at only 25 years old. After having been congratulated on all sides, the Spaniard celebrated this new title well before immediately putting his head back on the handlebars to go to Australia.

The Phillip Island Grand Prix awaits the drivers this weekend, and there is therefore no time to take a break! Although he has already won the title, Marquez still has two world crowns to play for, with the help of his teammate Dani Pedrosa: the constructors' title and the teams' title. Honda in turn has a first chance to be crowned on Sunday.

The Spanish driver will not stop fighting, especially since Phillip Island is a track that has often been successful for him. We remember that he won in 125cc in 2010 and twice in MotoGP in 2015 and 2017. He also won two podiums (in 2011 and 2012) and five pole positions.

He therefore has all the cards in hand to achieve this: “It's great to arrive in Australia having already won the title, and I'm really looking forward to enjoying the end of the season. Obviously, there are still the team and constructor titles to be awarded, so we will try to keep the same level of performance and win more races in order to clinch them as well. They are important to us and to Honda. I love Phillip Island, it's a fast track which encourages long race fights and it's always a great spectacle for the fans. I just hope the weather will be good because in a few hours we can go from sun and heat to wind and cold. Anyway, we'll see. We will try to be at the forefront and have fun. »
