After his pole position and victory in Brno, the Ducati rider continued his momentum during the first day of free practice in Austria this Friday.

Andrea Dovizioso is in a positive dynamic since the Grand Prix of the Czech Republic last weekend, and does not want to break it. Pole man on Saturday and winner on Sunday, he arrives in the best possible situation on one of the circuits on the calendar most favorable to Ducati: the Red Bull Ring, in Austria.

In good form this morning, the Italian driver finished at the top of FP1 and was thus the only driver to go below the 1'24 mark. Then, he didn't drive much this afternoon due to the rain. Despite the nine laps he completed, he set the fifth fastest time, thus showing himself competitive in both the dry and the wet, which bodes well for the rest of the weekend.

Positive and very motivated, Andrea Dovizioso was satisfied at the end of this first day in Austria: “We started extremely well. The bike was on point this morning, which is also due to the fact that we have just come from a race where we were very strong so we didn't need to change the settings. Even though we only did one lap in the dry, our times are very good and we have already completed a good part of our program for the race. Unfortunately we couldn't continue working on the tires this afternoon due to the rain, but the important thing is that we were fast from the start. We hope that tomorrow's weather conditions will allow us to work on the final details in preparation for the race. »
