The Pramac Racing driver had a complicated weekend, which unfortunately did not improve during the race. However, he is still in the top 10 in the Championship.

After announcing its extension with the Pramac Racing team, Jack Miller could have a free mind to concentrate on the Barcelona Grand Prix. However, the sessions were more complicated than expected.

First tenth in FP1, he then finished twentieth in FP2 and fifteenth in FP3, which did not allow him to automatically qualify for Q2. After an even more complicated FP4 where he finished eighteenth, he fought in Q1 in order to be able to move on to Q2, but faced with an unbeatable Marc Márquez, there was only one free place left, and it left him was taken by Takaaki Nakagami for only sixty-nine thousandths.

Qualified thirteenth, he had a good Warm Up on Sunday morning, taking ninth time. Then, when it came time for the race, he got off to a good start and had a good strategy to preserve his tires. He was able to attack and was up to ninth when he unfortunately suffered a technical problem seven laps before the end, forcing him to pit.

After a superb start to the season, this is the Australian's second consecutive blank result. However, he remains in the top 10 in the Championship and is more eager to return to the track than ever: “I tried to manage in order to save my tires for the second part of the race. I was with Viñales and Zarco and I felt confident. Then I had a technical problem. It's a shame. I could have a good race. I can't wait to be in Assen. »
