After two disappointing Grands Prix at Le Mans and Mugello, Johann zarco will be keen to get back on track this weekend on the Montmélo route. A circuit which will receive the Grand Prix of Catalonia, seventh round of a championship where he is third, eight lengths from the second position held by Valentino Rossi. Big points were dropped in France and Italy, and it's time to get back on track.

An ambition which can come true because the latest tests carried out on the track near Barcelona were more than encouraging for the men ofHervé Poncharal. The latter also sets its roadmap: “ Johann is currently in a very tight group and we are clearly in a crucial moment of the championship. We have to score in every race. We saw how difficult the abandonment in France was and we suffered in Italy. So we have to put our heads on the handlebars and do what it takes to get back into the leading group in Barcelona. It is the objective ».

As for zarco, we announce : " the Catalan circuit is a beautiful track and I am happy to find it again. We did some tests there recently, and they went well. I hope to find the same sensations which will allow me to think about the podium and even victory. After two complicated races, and especially in Italy, where we really suffered, I would be happy to find a place among the leading mene ”.

Last year, Johann zarco had qualified fourteenth to finish fifth. He dominated the Montmélo circuit twice consecutively when he was in Moto2 in 2015 and 2016. He was on the podium in the same category in 2014.
