After four Grands Prix contested this season, Sam Lowes is one of the disappointments of the Moto2 peloton. His return to a team that had been so successful for him, before his career came to a halt following a failed move up to MotoGP, was to relaunch the Briton in the big leagues. For his second year in the post Aprilia RS-GP category and his first, like everyone else, with the engine Triumph, he also reacquainted himself with the prized Kalex chassis. But the results still do not follow…

A sixth place in Qatar, a seventh in Austin then two retirements recorded in Argentina and recently in Jerez place Sam Lowes only twelfth overall, 56 points behind the leader Lorenzo Baldassarri. But a test presented as positive took place after the disappointing Spanish Grand Prix. Lowes hopes to bounce back from this last good feeling to get out of the rut at Le Mans, the next event on the calendar: “ I really like Le Mans, it's a very different circuit from Jerez“, comments Sam Lowes. "We have improved a lot during testing and we will use all the positive results to succeed in France and end the nightmare weekend of the Spanish Grand Prix. Many thanks to the team for the excellent work done during the test. We now arrive in France with great motivation. Shark helmets will be the main sponsor and this will be an additional motivation for me to do well”.

The first ones free practice will begin at 10:55 a.m. Friday. Terrible weather is predicted for the event…
