This twelfth round of the Moto2 championship at Silverstone promises to be a possible break in the championship for Francis Bagnaia. The Italian is in fact in pole position while his rival for the title Oliveira will start from beyond twentieth place with a KTM that is not really at ease. The surprise and the underdog will be Remy gardner who will want to write the last letters of nobility of a Mistral610 which will disappear at Tech3 at the end of the year. The other star will be the weather, with rain so feared that the meeting times were disrupted...

Before jumping into the fray, here is the table summarizing the chronometric facts:

All time lap record

2'06.345 Sam Lowes 2015

And this famous rain appeared at the start of the Moto3 warm-up session. The Moto2 therefore discovered a wet track at 13°5 and ambient air at barely 14°. Which does not discourage a seasoned audience!

In 2'24.339 Sam Lowes shows that a KTM can still walk on this track by signing the first reference. Joe Roberts shows that an NTS in the rain is not bad either since he is fifth, behind a Kent found, a Gardner which confirms, as Schrotter, second.

Quarterly only takes the track for the last five minutes. In 2'23.648, Schrotter takes orders at Lowes while things are less bad for Olive tree, seventh as for the official KTMs since Binder knock on the door of the top 5. Tuuli impresses and emerges fourth. Quarterly is thirteenth.

In 2'22.898, Gardner takes the lead and promises for the race. He is the only one under the 2'23 lap mark with the Mistral610. Olive tree is fourth in front bagnaia. We won't stop there since the Tech3 pilot is being grilled by Schrotter under the checkered flag. Lowes, bagnaia et Olive tree follow, Quaratararo ninth.
