If the last 45-minute session allowing a possible live passage for Q2 made it possible to beat yesterday's times, we nevertheless find the same man at the top of the combined classification, the Frenchman Fabio Quartararo who this time had to pull out his guts until the last minute to surpass Valentino Rossi who clearly shows that he will have to be reckoned with tomorrow for the victory of this MotoGP British Grand Prix at Silverstone.

In this regard, this 4-minute FP30, which takes place at the same times and therefore possibly in the same conditions as the race, is extremely important for choosing your tires carefully and perfecting the settings with the tank.

Finally, Fabio Quartararo, Valentino Rossi, Marc Márquez, Jack Miller, Danilo Petrucci, Cal Crutchlow, Maverick Viñales, Franco Morbidelli, Takaaki Nakagami and Aleix Espargaró are guaranteed to decide between themselves in the final qualification.

The weather conditions are still very favorable, with almost ideal temperatures of 28 degrees in the air and 40 degrees on the ground.

1'59.941 Marc Márquez (2017)

Perhaps a sign of the determination that reigns in the #93 box, Marc Márquez sets off first at the opening of the track in the company of Franco Morbidelli.

With the rise in temperatures, hard tires are essential…

At the end of the first round, Alex Rins is the fastest, in 2'00.693, ahead of a Fabio Quartararo who took command on the next pass in 2'00.343.

Marc Márquez then improves to 2'00.156 while at the other end of the ranking, Karel Abraham crash at turn 16, for the 3rd time this weekend.

Alex Rins is then inserted between Marc Márquez et Fabio Quartararo.

The KTMs of Pol Espargaro et John Zarco seem to be in good race pace, with their two drivers occupying 2th and 6th positions respectively.

At mid-session, the hierarchy consists of a trio Márquez–Rins–Quartararo which stands at 42/1000, detached by 2 tenths in front Andrea Dovizioso, Maverick Viñales, Franco Morbidelli, Pol Espargaró, Cal Crutchlow, Francesco Bagnaia and Johann Zarco.

Danilo Petrucci, somewhat transparent at the moment, is then 11th, Valentino Rossi 14th and Jorge Lorenzo 19e.

Maverick Vinales then produces his effort and gradually reaches 2nd position, at 28/1000 of Marc Marquez. Alex Rins, who was riding in the wake of the Yamaha rider, however took advantage of this point of focus to regain his possession.

Marc Márquez accelerates the pace 6 minutes from the end of the session, and achieves a very good 1'59.327 on hard tires, relegating Alex Rins to 8 tenths.

fabio quartararo reacts and drops below the 2 minute mark but remains 1/2 second behind the Honda driver.

Miguel Oliveira enters the top 10 and always precedes the other KTMs. As a result, Pol Espargaro sticks to his saddle and achieves the 6th time…

In extremis, Andrea Dovizioso and Valentino Rossi enter the top 5, allowing Yamaha to place 3 machines in the top 4.

The session ends, however, with what appears to be a technical problem on the DucatiAndrea Dovizioso, the latter stopping at the other end of the circuit even though he must participate in Q1 in a few minutes…
