After three weeks of summer break, the Moto3 riders are ready for their return to the Brno track, and everyone will be keen to get this second part of the season off to a good start. Jorge Martín will thus try to widen his lead in the Championship over Marco Bezzecchi who, for his part, will try to regain the seven points he has behind his opponent. Behind them, Arón Canet and Enea Bastianini will do everything to get back into the Championship, while Fabio Di Giannantonio will give everything to win his first victory. Let's not forget the other drivers on the field either, because everyone can create a surprise. The weekend promises to be intense.
Hostilities begin at 9 a.m. this Friday.

The heat wave affecting Europe is not sparing the Czech Republic where it is surprisingly hot, which will make the sessions interesting. It is 33 degrees both in the air and on the track when the Moto3 riders set off for their first free session. Tatsuki Suzuki (SIC58 Squadra Corse) is the first to enter the track. A few minutes later, it was, unsurprisingly, Jorge Martín (Del Conca Gresini) which sets the reference time in 2'11.779.

After ten minutes, several drivers took first place, and it is now Marcos Ramirez (Bester Capital Dubai) which leads in front Enea Bastianini (Leopard Racing), the rookie Dennis Foggia (Sky Racing Team VR46), Lorenzo Dalla Porta (Leopard Racing) and Fabio DiGiannantonio (Del Conca Gresini).

bastianini and By Giannantonio then took first position, and at mid-session four of the top five in the Championship occupied the first four places: Fabio Di Giannantonio, Jorge Martín, Enea Bastianini et Aron Canet. Behind, Marcos Ramirez, Niccolo Antonelli (SIC58 Squadra Corsica), Lorenzo Dalla Porta, Jakub Kornfeil (PruestlGP), Dennis Foggia et Philipp Oettl (Sudmetal Schedl GP Racing) complete the top 10, while Marco Bezzecchi eleventh point.

The field returns almost entirely to the box fifteen minutes before the end, and begins to emerge little by little after five minutes to attack the final straight of the session. Martín then takes the lead again and then improves his time to 2'09.533. Unfortunately, he made a mistake with a big high side four minutes from the end and seemed to have a wrist or shoulder injury*. At the checkered flag, Philipp Oettl improved the best time by almost four tenths and took the lead in this first free session.

*Update: George Martín fractured his left hand and will not participate in the Grand Prix. He will fly to Barcelona to have surgery.
