bagnaia can end the season in Malaysia this weekend, but before that, you have to be the strongest and first in front of your rival at KTM Olive tree. In this meeting, the hierarchy in Moto2 is not yet very clear due to the track conditions encountered so far. Alex Marquez leads the way on the clock and he will try to show that he can be the one to finally open the score for a Spaniard in Moto2 this season. Because, for the moment, no driver from the Iberian Peninsula has managed to take the checkered flag! Finally, in ambush, we will be watching Fabio Quartararo, while Brad Binder is the man in form at the end of the campaign…

Alex Marquez clocks a 2'05.629 which puts him at a respectable distance from the rest of his colleagues... The brother of whom you know is getting closer to the track record held by Lüthi since 2015.
For this first quarter of an hour, Olive tree is sixth behind Pasini et Marini while bagnaia eleventh point. The leading trio is made up of a Kalex, a SpeedUp and a Tech3.
What a start! 🔥

Sucipto which replaces Manzi fall at turn 15 without gravity. He was 32nd and last. Sam Lowes falls at turn 8 while entering Quarterly et Olive tree we come close to a collision, the Portuguese driving too slowly on the trajectory... bagnaia passes sixth, ahead of the KTM official.

Between bagnaia et Olive tree, we observe ourselves while driving very slowly on the track, which is generally sanctioned in Moto3... The last ten minutes are approaching and the hierarchy listed at the start of hostilities seems frozen by tropical torpor. At turn 15, Nagashima misses cutting in two Alex Marquez. No more fear of harm! the Japanese is sixteenth.
The final assault is launched. Marini did a 2'06.117 which took him to second position. Alex Marquez fall at turn 1 as the last minute began. But that won't change anything, here he is in control of the starting grid. Marini et Quarterly will accompany him on the first line. bagnaia will start sixth and Olive tree seventh.
Not how @ alexmarquez73 wanted to end qualifying 😣
But he looks to have pole in the bag 💪#MalaysianGP 🇲🇾 pic.twitter.com/eUw9tVWq0Z
