As sudden as it was intense, a veritable deluge hit the Sepang circuit at the start of qualifying 1 of the MotoGP.

The first MotoGP qualifying session was therefore interrupted by a red flag but, since then, things have evolved and the sessions should be able to resume soon, in the wet, the Malaysian circuit not being known for its speed of drying.
