The Gresini team drivers, currently first and fourth in the Championship, are more motivated than ever at the idea of resuming the season in Brno after the summer break.
Jorge Martín was able to go on vacation with peace of mind: after so much bad luck, he finally managed to regain first place in the Championship at the Sachsenring. It must be said that the Spanish driver has had a series of disappointments even though he has always dominated his opponents.
Even though he has five victories in nine races, he also has three blank results, two of which were caused by other drivers. In Jerez, first of all, he was unwittingly involved in the collective incident caused by Arón Canet. At Le Mans, then, he could not avoid Marco Bezzecchi's motorcycle which fell in front of him. In Catalonia, finally, he made a mistake while leading the Grand Prix. Also note his tire error in Argentina which caused him to start from the pit lane and finish eleventh. Without these disappointments, we can wonder how many points ahead the Spaniard would lead the Championship, he who, aside from these errors, only has victories.
But the Grands Prix are the Grands Prix, and Martín knows more than anyone on the grid that anything can happen. However, he appears ready to increase his lead at the end of the race on Sunday: “Brno is a track that I like. Last year I unfortunately wasn't able to ride due to my injury, but in previous years I always qualified well. I arrive prepared and above all in good shape for the meeting in Brno, where we will try, as always, to win. »
For its part, Fabio Di Giannantonio entered the summer break with its first blank result of the season. He had, in fact, been very consistent, finishing each race in the top 10 and securing two podiums in Argentina and Mugello. But what the Italian driver really wants is to finally win his first victory in the category he has been chasing for a while and which he virtually won at the French Grand Prix before receiving a penalty.
Di Giannantonio will once again give everything this weekend to win the long-awaited Grail: “I am very motivated for Brno. I work hard to arrive as prepared as possible.
