The tests for this Misano Grand Prix are among the tightest of the season. Indeed, the top ten are within five tenths, and above all no driver has really gained the upper hand over the others. If Francis Bagnaia finished first in FP1, then Marcel Schrötter and Miguel Oliveira who led FP2 and FP3 respectively. It is therefore difficult to make a prediction for the qualifications, each of them being able to win, in the same way as the other drivers in the top 10. However, we will have to pay attention to the Italian drivers, who are particularly determined to win on their home soil. and therefore numerous at the forefront. Who will take the thirteenth pole position of the season? Response from 15:05 p.m.

The two parties had already signed a pre-contract binding them, and it is now official. The only Dutch team will therefore run the only Dutch driver on the grid in 2019 and 2020.

Five minutes later, the second in the Championship, Miguel Oliveira, made a mistake while in eighth position.
Ten minutes from the end, Lorenzo Baldassarri (Pons HP 40) lost the lead, and relapsed a few minutes later. At the end of the session, Niki Tuuli (SIC Racing Team) then Remy Gardner (Tech 3 Racing) and Dominique Aegerter (Kiefer Racing) also made mistakes.
In terms of times, this qualification remains calm and the first ones do not improve their time, each finishing in the same places as at the start of the session. Francis Bagnaia thus offers himself his fourth pole of the season in front of his home crowd. Quartararo qualifies fourth.
