If at the end qualifications of this Misano Grand Prix, Francesco Bagnaia seems to be the most dominant in the Moto2 category, we will still have to count on all the riders in the top 10 who are all within five tenths, as Marcel Schrötter, Mattia Pasini or Fabio Quartararo. Even Miguel Oliveira, qualified only ninth, can come back as he knows how to do so well.
While waiting for the race, everyone will take advantage of the last free practice session to finalize the settings of their machine and thus be as ready as possible to play for victory.
Warm Up begins at 9:10 a.m.

It's 24 degrees in the air and 19 degrees on the track when the Moto2 riders set off in bright sunshine for their final free practice session, lasting just twenty minutes. On this occasion, the Sky VR46 team unveils its special livery for the Grand Prix.

Miguel Oliveira (Red Bull KTM Ajo) sets the reference time in 1'39.464. From the next round, fabio quartararo (Beta Tools – Speed Up Racing) takes the best time from him, before being passed by Joan mir (EG 0,0 Marc VDS), Marcel Schrötter (Dynavolt Intact GP), Alex Marquez (EG 0,0 Marc VDS), Mattia Pasini (Italtrans Racing Team), Miguel Oliveira et Augusto Fernandez (Pons HP 40). Francesco Bagnaia (SKY Racing Team VR46) is not far away, so all the favorites are there from the first minutes.

The session goes by quickly, and after ten minutes, mid-session, it's Marcel Schrötter who took the lead in 1'38.025. The times are therefore one second slower than the qualifications. He is ahead Augusto Fernandez, Joan Mir, Miguel Oliveira et Mattia Pasini. Then Sam Lowes (Swiss Innovative Investors), Alex Marquez, Simone Courses (Tasca Racing Scuderia Moto2), Francis Bagnaia et Jorge Navarro (Federal Oil Gresini Moto2) complete the top 10. fabio quartararo is eleventh.

Seven minutes from the end, Khairul Idham Pawi (IDEMITSU Honda Team Asia) made a mistake. A few minutes later, it's the turn ofAugusto Fernandez then Stefano Manzi (Forward Racing Team).

The German Schrötter ultimately retained first place and thus asserted himself as one of the favorites of the race in order to obtain the first podium of his career. Note the entry into the top 10 of the rookie Romano Fenati (Marinelli Snipers Team). The Italians only arrive from sixth place, without forcing too much, and the leader of the Championship, Francis Bagnaia, finished sixteenth.
