It is a particularly competitive Moto3 championship which presents itself this weekend at Misano. The Italian track promises to be the thirteenth round of this season which has already seen three leaders: Aron Canet, George Martin and now Marco Bezzecchi. The latter plays at home with his KTM and presents himself with a capital of 158 points, which is the lowest in the category since 2001, when Toni Elias claimed the same result against Poggiali who was at 145 points.

Furthermore, the protégé of Valentino Rossi and next KTM Tech3 rider in Moto2 is only 12 points ahead of George Martin. This is the smallest gap between two title contenders in the discipline since 2010. At that time, Marc Marquez was leader by nine points ahead Nico Terol.
