Following the cancellation of the Silverstone Grand Prix, the Repsol Honda driver arrives at the Italian circuit with the same lead as two weeks ago, i.e. fifty-nine points, and therefore continues to be calm.

With more than two victories ahead of the second in the Championship, Marc Marquez can afford to manage its Grands Prix without pressure, especially since none of its opponents can truly gain the upper hand over the others and catch up.

This could once again be complicated for them given that the Misano circuit has often succeeded for Márquez in the past. He has five victories there (one in 125cc in 2010, two in Moto2 in 2011 and 2012, and two in MotoGP in 2015 and 2017) in addition to a podium and three pole positions.

However, he has also already been beaten on this route by Valentino Rossi, Jorge Lorenzo and Dani Pedrosa. He therefore approaches this Grand Prix calmly, with the desire to win but aware that he could have formidable opponents: “Misano is a winding circuit and slower than some of the other tracks on the calendar, with a lot of braking and acceleration. This has been a good track for us in the past. We have a lot of good memories there and we are really going to try to add a new one to the list this Sunday. Last year I felt comfortable on the bike and was able to ride the way I wanted, but on Friday we will enter the track with our usual mentality. We will therefore be ready to give everything and adapt to each situation we encounter. We will try to understand the conditions and the grip of the track, trying to progress session by session, hoping for a nice and warm weekend. »
