The Pramac driver did not have the weekend he wanted on the Misano track and returns disappointed with his performance, after three excellent Grands Prix.

Danilo Petrucci arrived at his second national Grand Prix motivated, after the three positive races he had achieved at Sachsenring, Brno and Austria where he finished fourth, sixth and fifth respectively.

At the end of the first day of testing at the Misano circuit, he seemed comfortable. Indeed, he finished ninth in FP1 and sixth in FP2, thus securing a place in Q2 if FP3 were to take place in the wet. However, he encountered more difficulties on Saturday. First fifteenth in FP3, he then finished thirteenth in FP4 before qualifying eighth, although five tenths behind: “I can't be satisfied with my qualification, even though we are all very close. It will be important to get a good start in the race in order to stay with the leading group. My goal is to stay in the top 5.”

Unfortunately, he was unable to achieve this goal because he lacked feeling. More comfortable in the second part of the race, the gaps were already made, and he could not do better than eleventh. On arrival, he was obviously not happy: “I am disappointed with this race. The weekend was not positive for us. I tried to stay with the leading group during the first laps but I had no feeling with the rear tire. »
