It is under the sign of the glorious uncertainty of the sport that this first Moto3 qualification in Thailand takes place, which inaugurates its presence on the Grand Prix calendar. And for good reason: the favorites have difficulty on this route. Buriram unknown, like Jorge Martin who has been absent since the start of the meeting. And not just a little: it is vegetating around twentieth place! A situation all the more incomprehensible as his teammate Fabio Di Giannantonio has been leading the debates since the FP3 this Saturday morning...
To put your thoughts in order, here is the table which summarizes the facts…
Buriram Moto3™ |

FP1 | 1'43.415 Jakub Kornfeil |
FP2 | 1'43.468 Ayumu Sasaki |
FP3 | 1'42.440 Fabio Di Giannantonio |

As a result, the outsiders have free rein and showcase themselves while Bezzecchi or even bastianini can redo the cherry in the championship if Martin remains anonymous. This will be the challenge of a game which opens under temperatures of 55° for the track and 32° for the public.
We learn that the difficulties encountered by Jorge Martin come from an injured and weak left hand. The Spaniard has a 13-point lead in the championship over Bezzecchi and 41 on his teammate Di Giannantonio. In 1'42.942, Sasaki confirms his good form displayed on Friday morning by establishing the first reference.
In 1″43.071, Martin takes second place just in front of his teammate Di Giannontonio. Would the Spaniard have preserved himself to better surprise his opponents at the fateful moment? John mcphee, for his part, did a series of three laps after his fall the day before which seriously shook him.
The first quarter of an hour is completed with a Sasaki leader in front Martin, By Giannantonio, Open up, Oettl, Arbolino, Arenas, Masaki Dalla Porta and, above all, the local Wongthananon... Bezzecchi is twelfth. It is at this moment that we learn that Martin went to the medical center to have his left hand checked…
