The Tech 3 driver arrives at the track where it all started for him a few months ago and therefore hopes to take advantage of this to get back into the points.

For several races, Hafiz Syahrin encounters difficulties and is no longer as efficient as at the start of the season. Long at the top of the ranking of the best rookies, he had to give up his place to Franco Morbidelli and is struggling to repeat his performances from several Grands Prix ago.

The Malaysian rider, however, is not helped by the problems encountered by Yamaha and suffers the consequences in the same way as Valentino Rossi, Maverick Viñales and Johann Zarco. Despite everything, he hopes that things will get better this weekend in Thailand. This Grand Prix promises to be special for him who made his MotoGP debut there at the start of the year. The country being also close to his own, it will be like riding at home for him, a double motivation which could bear fruit: “I have excellent memories of Thailand, because at the beginning of the year I learned that I was going to test a MotoGP there and I finally rode my M1 there for the first time. I had a good test and finished less than two seconds off the best time. I hope this track can give me additional motivation. I'm really looking forward to getting there, especially as it marks the start of the Asian tour before the end of the season in Valencia. In the last two or three races I struggled. We know we are all having difficulties with Yamaha, so I hope they will find a solution to give us a chance to fight for good results again. I hope I can do well and get back into the points. I continue to believe in myself, the team works incredibly hard, so we stay focused and don't give up. »
