Having barely got off his official Honda RC213V after having obtained pole position on the starting grid for the Thai Grand Prix, Marc Marquez is certainly very happy to have recovered in such a good way after his repechage in Q1 (the pole after a passage in Q1 is a first) who spoke to the microphone of the official site MotoGP.com.

Marc was the fastest for you today, but you had to go through Q1. For what ?

Marc Márquez : “yes, of course, I was quite disappointed to be in Q1 because I felt good with the bike throughout the weekend. But we had a problem with the bike in FP3 when I came out to attack the time. Then when I came back to change bikes, there wasn't much time left and the bike had a front tire with a lot of revs, so I crashed. So I couldn't go directly to Q2. But OK, that can happen when you're working towards the race. You know, sometimes we say that the strategy is good, but sometimes there are also some risks. Today, I paid for these risks but we were able to pass Q1 and be in Q2, and to have good times, so we are looking towards tomorrow because the race will be long.”
