End point of the 2018 season, the Valencia Grand Prix will see the last participations in the premier class of Dani Pedrosa, Álvaro Bautista, Bradley Smith, Scott Redding, Xavier Siméon and Tom Luthi, as far as this year's starting drivers are concerned.

If the first will leave by the front door and will be duly celebrated, first of all by his unique presence on the official Grand Prix poster then by his nomination as MotoGP Legend next Thursday, this will not be the case for the others who will therefore leave through the back door, some towards MotoE, some towards SBK, some towards BSB or Moto2…

But if there is injustice in these chosen or forced departures, it probably concerns Alvaro Bautista who occupies 12th place in the world championship and still scored 105 points this year after many great races. We are thinking more particularly of his replacement for Jorge Lorenzo in the official Ducati team at Phillip Island where, far from being unworthy despite 3 falls, the Madrid rider finished 4th, following the wheel of his leader Andrea Dovizioso.

After 16 full seasons in Grand Prix, the 125 2006 cc world champion will therefore bow out in the paddock on Sunday evening at the age of 33, but, beforehand, his fan club asks all the spectators present on the circuit Ricardo Tormo to give him a huge ovation during the 19th lap of the race which will consist of 27.

So, the Valencia circuit lends itself very well to the Olas, why not a huge wave accompanying the team's driver Ángel Nieto throughout his 19th lap?
