The last Grand Prix of the 2018 season is arriving. And we will have to take advantage of it before entering the off-season which will begin on the Monday following this final race of the year. The champions of the three categories have already been determined. The constructors' title has been acquired. But there are runner-up places to be taken, and runners-up places to be distributed. And then for Valentino Rossi and Dani Pedrosa, this is the only chance to avoid ending up with a campaign without victory...

After four overseas races held over four consecutive weekends in which fans had to get up early in Europe to watch the racing live, the season finale is once again taking place at the usual times. The 19th and final event of the MotoGP calendar will take place at the Ricardo Tormo circuit in Cheste, near Valencia in Spain. The track which has a length of 4,005 km, with 14 turns, and was opened in 1999.

It was on September 19, 1999 that the first Valencia Motorcycle Grand Prix took place. Most MotoGP victories so far have rewarded Jorge Lorenzo et Dani Pedrosa with four victories each. The Spanish Repsol Honda rider, who is ending his career to become a MotoGP test rider with Red Bull KTM, also won the 2017 edition ahead of Johann zarco and his teammate Honda, Marc Márquez.

This year, the Valencia Grand Prix can still bring a decision for the third and fourth positions in the drivers' standings. Valentino Rossi is only two points ahead of Maverick Vinales, third, but the Italian, in theory, can always come back to equalAndrea Dovizioso, second.

Among the independent drivers, it will be played between John Zarco et Danilo Petrucci. For the best rookie, the duel is between Morbidely et Syahrin. Aprilia can leave last place among manufacturers to KTM. And we hope to see Lorenzo end his career at Ducati by riding his motorcycle. Finally, in Moto3, By Giannantonio will have to take 9 points from Bezzecchi to be vice-world champion.
