His quest for victory, however, came to an abrupt halt in Aragon where he fell, then in Buriram where he fell. Since then, he has struggled to recover from his injuries.

The Ducati rider continued, thinking about what’s next at Honda: “ Marquez is already a legend, having won five world championships in six seasons. I have so much to learn from him. This will be his seventh season with the Honda for him, while for me it will be the first. We respect each other. I am a person who lives in the present. I'm just thinking about doing things wherever possible now. When I was asked to join Honda, the most successful brand at the moment in MotoGP, I immediately accepted.."
Jorge Lorenzo then concluded: “ I am partly sad because I will not be able to end this season with the Ducati as I wanted, with other victories in particular. These two years spent at Ducati have been up and down, I have had ups and downs, but I nevertheless keep good memories that make me happy. I will miss it all, but that's how life goes on."
