The subject this Sunday, in MotoGP, will undoubtedly be the rain which took over the Ricardo Tormo track. We will remember that this was also the case on Friday and, at the end of this day, the pilots were concerned by the conditions offered by the track. Petrucci and Rossi regretted reduced visibility, Smith and Vinales regretted portions with standing water. And everyone still remembers the wreck of Siverstone... For the moment, the rain has not submerged the playing field of this Valencia Grand Prix. But things still have time to evolve between now and the afternoon race...
Before knowing the end of this series, here is the table which summarizes the situation:

To raise the current debate, here is for the record what the pilots experienced on Friday...
Riding in the rain 💦#MotoGP riders really know how to manage wet conditions! 👀#ValenciaGP 🇪🇸 pic.twitter.com/ibp6RRJjUe

14° in the air, 13° on the track and a dog's weather but still not a deluge, these are the precarious conditions that the pilots will face for twenty minutes.
Iannone entry drop at turn 12. A curve that has welcomed a lot of people into its gravel trap since the beginning of the morning. As expected, the Aprilias put on a red dress.
Bike swap practice! Because you just never quite know what the weather will really do at this particular #ValenciaGP weekend…
Side note: Aprilia have rolled out the red livery again this year! Still cool as.😍@AleixEspargaro pic.twitter.com/5ObZNMwHUK

In 1'44.147, Jack Miller launches the debates. Red, Dovizioso et zarco follow. The same Australian on the Ducati Pramac accelerates in 1'42.614. Red follows him in this area while Espargaro Pol with the KTM placed third in 1'43.602. But these preliminaries past, Marc Marquez shows the way in 1'42.237.
For its part, Petrucci, seventh, thanks his team before joining the Ducati factory…
All for one… one for all! Nice tribute lid design from @Petrux9 for his final weekend with Pramac Racing! https://t.co/wiGfmQRtaz

A tribute that he exacerbates by placing himself second in Marquez mid-session. The reference is then 1'41.298. Only Italian and Miller are in this range. The others run in 1'42. To start with Red, fourth. In these conditions, Vale seems to have the pace. Vinales, on the other hand, points twelfth. We will remember that after taking pole position, he predicted a seventh place in the rain this Sunday...
The last five minutes begin when Marquez knocks out the competition with a 1'40.165. It’s practically a second better than its runner-up… Valentino Rossi.
Marquez will remain untouchable and Red find a smile again. Petrucci is the first Ducati, ahead Thousandr. But we won't forget Alex Espargaro which places its Aprilia in second place! With a big 1'40 what's more. zarco is sixteenth, Vinales eleventh behind Iannone.
