The Honda Repsol rider would like to return to the front this weekend and plans to work hard for that. At the end of this first day, the results are not yet there, but it continues to be positive.
We now know: Dani Pedrosa does not have a usual start to the season, having always been at the top of the rankings. Lacking feeling but also luck, his first podium of the year is long overdue, just like signing his contract next year.
He is therefore not going through an easy period, but try to stay positive by working hard and using all the tests carried out outside of racing since the start of the year to progress.
The Spanish driver thus started slowly this first day of free testing on the Assen track. After finishing fourteenth, nine tenths behind first, he then moved up to eleventh, seven tenths behind.
This first day allowed him to see the points to improve, but also to build on the good things done today: “As always, it's a bit difficult on this track, but some runs were better than others. We have to focus on our performance with the soft tire. Today we weren't able to make any progress when we put it on. We also have to work on the T4 sector of the route, where we want to be faster. For the rest, we are finding our rhythm and I hope that we will be able to use the good weather to progress. »
