The Pramac Racing driver took to the Dutch circuit after two blank results. The desire to catch up was there, but the weekend was more complicated than expected, although with a satisfactory result.

After an excellent start to the season, Jack Miller had two complicated last Grands Prix with two consecutive blank results. He therefore arrived motivated and attacked hard in FP1, finishing with the fourth time. FP2 was more difficult, and he only finished sixteenth due to grip problems with the rear tire.

Although he worked with his team to improve this point, he was unable to automatically qualify for Q2 due to his twelfth time in FP3. Things were also a little complicated in FP4 where he finished sixteenth, and it didn't get better in qualifying.

The Australian, in fact, lost his place in Q2 by only ninety-four thousandths and found himself qualified sixteenth. Starting from the sixth row was a serious handicap on Sunday, but he got off to a good start and made up four places on the first lap. He then fought with his teammate, Danilo Petrucci, for eleventh place and managed to gain the upper hand before being passed by Álvaro Bautista. He ultimately finished the race alone, and moved into tenth place following Iannone's two-second penalty for going out of bounds.

This new top 10 comes in addition to the five others obtained since the start of the season and allows him to once again score important points for the Championship. Miller was nevertheless disappointed on arrival: “The weekend was complicated. I couldn't find the right feeling. To be honest, I thought I was doing a little better, but I still managed to finish in the top 10 in the race and that's a good result. I want to do better in Germany. »
