Barely alighting from his Team LCR Honda RC 213 V after having acquired second position on the starting grid for the Dutch Grand Prix in Assen, Cal Crutchlow spoke to the microphone of the official website MotoGP.com.

Welcome back to the 1st line Cal, you stood out at the very end, how did you do that?

Cal Crutchlow: “There were a lot of people going out on the track and I didn't want to be involved, so I decided I was going to go out and leave the group. But I saw 6 or 7 of them and I told myself that I didn't want to be 8th, so I slowed down until the last one, and the time came by itself. I knew I was strong, I didn't push too much in the corners where I didn't feel comfortable, as well as where the bike wasn't. I did a real timed lap, not like in Barcelona or Mugello where I made a mistake and went off the track. It's always special to be on the front row, the team did a good job, I would like to thank Honda. Things are going well for me and we have to prepare for tomorrow.”
