Romano Fenati placed fourth while World Championship leader Arón Canet on the KTM placed twenty-first.

It was Ai Ogura who, at the start of the session, set the reference time in 1.44.157s. He is taken over by Alonso López who passes the 1.44 mark by setting a time of 1.43.380s. Romano Fenati is second in 1.43.561s. Kaito Toba, Ai Ogura's teammate, took the best time in 1.42.842s. Suzuki gains a few more thousandths on this time, it runs in 1.42.592s.

Behind them, Tony Arbolino is second and laps in 1.42.634s, Niccolò Antonelli is third best time (1.42.738s). Championship leader Arón Canet is ranked third best time with a time of 1.42.761s. There are 15 minutes left for the drivers to improve and it is Jakub Kornfeil who sets the pace by setting a lap time of 1.42.226s. McPhee imitated him and took second position by achieving a lap time of 1.42.385s.
Tatsuki Suzuki crashed in turn 9 after further improving his own time to 1.42.454s. And during this time, Lorenzo Dalla Porta made the effort and came second behind Kornfeil, he ran in 1.42.374s.

At the end of the session, Jakub Kornfeil takes the best time (1.41.782s) in front Tony Arbolino (1.41.880s) and Niccolo Antonelli (1.41893) Romano Fenati ranks fourth, Aron Canet twenty second.
