Les qualifications du Moto3 à Assen a certes consacré la septième pole position d’un Antonelli par ailleurs à présent nouveau recordman de la piste dans la catégorie, mais elles ont aussi mis en exergue un duel entre les teams SIC58 Squadra Corse et Honda Asia. L’Italien a en effet battu Toba alors que la seconde ligne le duel a eu lieu entre Suzuki et Ogura. Au milieu, deux Italiens en la personne d”Arbolino, troisième sur la première ligne pour l’équipe Snipers et Vietti, cinquième pour le Sky VR46.

27° in the air and 29° on the track are the conditions offered to the pilots for the 20 minutes of exercise. Arbolino signs the first reference in 1'43.093, in front Tuff et Antonelli. Arenas comes second, but Arbolino always holds the controls firmly. Antonelli the pole sitter is thirteenth.
Öncü surprises in sight of the checkered flag while passing second. We will leave it there with one Arbolino untouchable. Canet is sixth, Antonelli eleventh, Dallas Port 17e.
