Here is the moment of truth this Saturday in Jerez for a Moto3 category which will know in just over 30 minutes what its starting grid will be for this Sunday's Spanish Grand Prix. Last year, it was Jorge Martin who took the helm, and he will therefore have a successor since he left for Moto2. The format of Q1 followed by Q2 is in effect this year. And for the preliminaries, there are some good people, like the leader of the championship Masia or even Tuff. This morning it is Rodrigo who made the talk during the last free practice session…

Arbolino et Tuff engage in a merciless duel, which allows the first city to join the top 4 heading for Q2. Masia is seventh as we approach the last five minutes. Pérez fall at turn 10. Lopez enters the top four. Tuff crash at turn 1. The winner of Qatar will not be in Q2. But Masia which materialized in Argentina passes the milestone with a second time behind Suzuki. Migno et Drive follow. Arbolino is the first eliminated.

Q2 begins after a short break. Canet leaves as soon as the track opens and seems to want to ride alone at first. The Leopard drivers follow and drive together. Foggia nevertheless takes the driver's wheel from Max Biaggi. But it was that ofAntonelli which is the fastest in 1'46.232. Suzuki, Drive, Rodrigo et Cornfeel follow. Canet leads the rest of the peloton.
Drive did better in 1'46.195. The VR46 driver is making a splash as the final five minutes loom. Masia, Fernandez, Sasaki, Arenas et Nepa haven't done a single ride yet...

Three minutes from time, the final and general assault was launched. Canet experiencing problems with his KTM. But he leaves again. Cornfeel is in technical difficulty, as Canet which this time definitely cuts his effort.
The pole goes to Dallas Port before Suzuki et Drive. The second line will be composed ofAntonelli, Foggia et Rodrigo. Canet is still seventh. Arenas points ninth just ahead fenati. Masia is fifteenth.
