The Honda Repsol driver is experiencing one of his most complicated weekends in a very long time. Never in the game at any time, his results got worse until qualifying. The race therefore looks very compromised tomorrow.

What happens to Dani Pedrosa ? This is the question everyone is asking following this disastrous Saturday. Even though he was injured in Argentina, he was able to get a seventh place in the next Grand Prix, and he was fighting for the podium when he was hit in Jerez. Already at Le Mans, he had encountered problems but managed to finish fifth. His injury therefore no longer seems to be a handicap for him, which is all the more worrying.

After a complicated first day, the second was worse. First twelfth in FP3, he then finished twenty-second in FP4 due to a fall. Not automatically qualified for Q2, he could not do better than twentieth during Q1.

Rarely so far away, the Spaniard is a little lost: “So far we have had a very difficult weekend here at Mugello, constantly struggling with grip. I was never able to be fast on the track. On top of that, I couldn't use my bike in Q1 following my crash in FP4, and the second one had different settings. We didn't have time to make any modifications, so I couldn't do a quick lap. »

However, the most important day is Sunday, and anything is always possible in racing, especially for a champion like him. Perhaps solutions will be found during the Warm Up, everyone hopes so in any case: “The only thing to do now is to stay focused on the race and give our best tomorrow. »
