With three victories on the clock, bagnaia arrives as leader of the Moto2 category on its Tuscan lands. The driver of a VR46 team who also plays at home comes to Mugello with the intention of becoming the third transalpine driver to win in the discipline, at the end of his national Grand Prix. Before him, alone Iannone and last year's winner Pasini had achieved this feat.
A look back at previous editions which reminds us of the existence of a very useful table to refresh our memory...

22° in the air and 30° on the track, the morning conditions are already warm for the start of the sixth meeting of the season. On this occasion, we would like to wish a happy birthday to Frederick Fuligni which is celebrating its 23rd birthday today. Since we are talking about celebration, we will note that, this Sunday, Simone Corsi will make his 250th Grand Prix start.
From the start of hostilities, lecuona fall at turn 15. Héctor Garzò does the same at turn 10. The first reference is signed by Alex Marquez in 1'53.277 on the bike of a Marc VDS team which really needs good performances to boost its morale.

Olive tree follows with his KTM and Schrotter closes the first leading trio. Joan mir which is announced at Suzuki in MotoGP is sixth. Quarterly closes the top 10 after the first quarter of an hour, behind the championship leader bagnaia. The second part of the hostilities sees Sam Lowes take the third performance in front fenati.
In 1'52.925, Joan mir confirms all the good things that we think of him by taking the lead and being the only one under the 1'53 lap mark. Stung, his teammate Alex Marquez responds by pushing it back by 14 thousandths. Lowes follows at 62 thousandths followed by Barbera which remembers us.
The Briton on the KTM achieves a 1'52.810 which puts him at the top of the timesheet at the start of the last five minutes. Alex Marquez answers him in 1'52.515. Olive tree raises his voice to take a position in a leading trio from which he excludes Mir.
Bagnaia, under the checkered flag, finally takes second place, behind Marquez . But this feat will be lost to him because of an excursion outside the limits of the track! Lowes, Olive tree et Mir follow. Baldassarri leads the rest of the peloton. The VR46 driver is seventh. Quarterly is twentieth.
