23° in the air, 38° on the track it's a storm of blue sky welcoming Moto2 to Mugello to attack this second day of the Italian Grand Prix. A Saturday where we will have to defend national honor since, the day before, it was two Spaniards who screwed the cream of the transalpine pilots. Alex Marquez first, then one Joan mir that we can no longer hold out and that Suzuki is waiting in its MotoGP box next year. Will Bagnaia and others let this happen? Even!

Before hostilities resume, here is the picture that refreshes our memory...

It's also bagnaia who is the first to enter the arena but on the time sheet, it is Alex Marquez who plants the first banderilla in 1'52.669.

Mir shows that his performance so far has not been an accident by signing a 1'52.126 which puts him on par with his best performance achieved during FP2. He is followed by his teammate and Pasini, leader of the national cause in Tuscany. After a quarter of an hour, Quarterly is eighth behind fenati, Lowes, Schrotter et Locatelli. The latter goes straight on at turn 15.

The worry comes fromOlive tree which certainly aligns the towers but only points twentieth. fenati fall at turn 14. Fifteen minutes from the goal, Pasini clocked a 1'52.068 which put him in control of the session. Alone Sam Lowes seems to have found for the moment the recipe to move the KTM forward since it is fifth while the officials are between fifteenth and tenth place.

Quarterly is still eighth as the last five minutes loom. On his SpeedUp, he does better than his teammate Kent, twenty first. Sam Lowes hoists his KTM to second place with the same time as that of Mir. This just before falling in sight of the checkered flag at turn 7. We will leave it there with a Quarterly which will still drop to eleventh.
