The Moto3 riders arrive on the Mugello track for the sixth meeting of the season, and for two Grands Prix the cards have been redistributed. Jorge Martín's domination, in fact, came to an abrupt end following the collective falls in which he was involved, unfortunately without being responsible. The Spanish driver, still slightly injured in his hand, needs to achieve a good result to regain confidence. For his part, the current leader of the Championship, Marco Bezzecchi, is on home soil this weekend and obviously wants to win. We must also not forget Arón Canet, who is still at the front, and also Fabio Di Giannantonio, whose victory at Le Mans was taken away due to a penalty and who absolutely wants to finally win in the category.

As the Mugello races are still packed, it is very difficult to know who will win on Sunday. Until then, the drivers will continue the sessions in order to prepare as well as possible. See you for FP1 from 9 a.m. French time.

The temperature is 21 degrees in the air and 26 degrees on the track when the drivers set off for the first practice session of the weekend. Aron Canet (Estrella Galicia 0,0) was the first to establish a reference time of 2'01.390, which he improved on the following lap to 1'59.984.

After ten minutes, the Spaniard still leads Philipp Oettl (Sudmetal Schedl GP Racing), Fabio DiGiannantonio (Del Conca Gresini), Tatsuki suzuki (SIC58 Squadra Corse) and Marcos Ramirez (Bester Capital Dubai).

Mid-session, Jorge Martín (Del Conca Gresini) has naturally taken the lead in the ranking, and has been doing so for a few minutes already. With his 1'59.200, we are still far from the best time achieved by Romano Fenati during last year's FP1, but the session is not over. The Spanish driver is ahead Niccolo Antonelli (SIC58 Squadra Corsica), Philipp Oettl (Sudmetal Schedl GP Racing), Aron Canet et Fabio Di Giannantonio. Behind, Tatsuki suzuki, Andrea Migno (Angel Nieto Team Moto3), Marco Bezzecchi (PruestlGP), John Mcphee (CIP – Green Power) and Marcos Ramirez complete the top 10.

At the same time, a hare invites itself onto the circuit! Fortunately, he does not cross the track and avoids an accident.

In the last fifteen minutes, Nicolò Antonelli gets dangerously close to first place, only a few thousandths behind, but fails to improve the time of Jorge Martín. The latter, on the other hand, continues the rapid laps until he widens a gap of almost a second! But beware Aron Canet who achieved an excellent time, coming within a little more than a tenth.

Two minutes from the end, Tatsuki suzuki fell in turn 11, fortunately without injury.

At the checkered flag, no one managed to improve the time of Jorge Martín, who finished at the top of this FP1.
