Ce Italian Grand Prix will have revealed a new Grand Prix winner in the company of Danilo Petrucci. By doing the job, he has undoubtedly secured his future within the factory team. Ducati which has the great merit of not giving any instructions. So much so that the joke at Mugello was Andrea Dovizioso, only third, behind Marc Márquez who is building his eighth world title. So, this question remains: did Ducati really win in Tuscany?
The reaction of Dovizioso was polite and concise. By winning, he took control of the championship. But by finishing behind Márquez at the end of a home race won by his teammate, he lost big. Márquez's goal was to finish ahead of DesmoDovi and his mission was accomplished. He takes four more points from him in the title race.
