After refreshments and a meeting with other motorcyclists, the Ducati riders continued their journey on Multistradas to the circuit where they found their Desmosedici machines. Dovizioso, Petrucci et Pirro then rode for a demonstration on their Ducati GP19.

Andrea Dovizioso commented : " it was a bit strange. I have never driven a motorcycle to go to a Grand Prix. The weather wasn't pleasant for us on Wednesday, but it was a nice new experience. And it's good to be at Mugello a few days earlier with my teammates. Normally I don't arrive until Thursday ».

The MotoGP world vice-champion in 2017 and 2018 will compete in his 300th Grand Prix this weekend. He won 22 victories and the 125 2004cc World Championship on Honda. “ 300 is a big number. And I'm happy to arrive at Mugello on this occasion, because it's certainly a good track for us. And we need a good result. After the French Grand Prix with three Ducatis in the top four, we can definitely be competitive here and fight against Marc Márquez. Of course he wants to win here at Mugello. But I'm convinced we have excellent chances here ».

Danilo Petrucci added : " I'm always happy to go to Mugello. Every year I travel differently. Last year I drove a Lamborghini, this year a Multistrada. It was good, even though I had never tried this bike before. The route was great. We also had a great lunch… Now I can’t wait to get into action on Friday. It is always nice for an Italian to participate in the Mugello Grand Prix. This time it's something very special for me, because I'm riding here for the first time in the Ducati factory team. Mugello always provides top-notch results for Ducati. Le Mans was good for us. But we didn't win. It's also difficult in Mugello – but we're at home! ».

Ducati won in 2017 at Mugello with Dovizioso and in 2018 with Lorenzo just as with Casey Stoner in 2009. Honda has 16 victories on this track, but the last achievement dates back to 2014.
