Reading the progress of this qualification for the Italian Grand Prix, we cannot help but think that this pole position, Marc Márquez acquired it more by using the tricks of the trade than by dominating his subject. The latter was controlled by fabio quartararo which has something to worry the same Marc Marquez in the race. But be careful: the Spaniard is ruthless and will do what is necessary to destabilize the opponent. Indirectly, bagnaia warns the Frenchman, revealing how the Honda official handled his own case this Saturday afternoon…
bagnaia had a good Italian Grand Prix so far. Leader on Friday, he found himself eighth on the starting grid at the end of this Saturday, and ahead Andrea Dovizioso, the official Ducati. But during his fast lap, the Turin driver was also the protagonist of a small skirmish with Márquez, the Spaniard slowing him down and thus ruining the attempt of the Ducati struck with 63.
Francis Bagnaia explains as follows: “ Márquez advances slowly in his trajectory pretending to push and makes you miss a fast lap. This is something you need to take inspiration from ". But the Italian does not stop at this low blow, because his objectives are elsewhere: “ In my opinion, we are working in the right direction. I have to do as many kilometers as possible on the bike, which I couldn't do since I didn't finish three races. But I have to say that we have made excellent progress over the last few races. We are getting closer, the gap has never exceeded a second. We must continue to progress. I've always been someone who can't push unless I have everything under control. This third row is a good result, I'm starting close to the fast drivers and it will be important to follow them tomorrow ».
« Arriving here at Mugello after Jerez and Le Mans, which were not good, I wanted to achieve a result. There's no need to overdo it on this track with the right setup. With the settings we found, for the first time since the start of the season, I feel good. We can have a good race. The goal will be to finish it, I've already given up too much. We have to get into the top ten, we have the pace but we still have to decide on the tire. For the moment we are competitive ».
After neutralizing bagnaia, we will recall that Márquez used the suction of another Ducati, that of Dovizioso, to take pole position.
Timed to perfection! 👌🏼
