In 1'57.349, Remy gardner signs the first reference in front Brad Binder who continues to show his form on the KTM. Manzi impresses with his MV Agusta by entering the leading trio. Nagashima already shows up at home and Sam Lowes closes the top 5. Alex Marquez is seventh.

After the first quarter of an hour, Nagashima takes the lead in 1'52.011. He is ahead of his teammate Gardner.

At halftime, Brad Binder turns into leader in 1'51.780. He is the only one under 1'52 per lap. Alex Marquez is tenth, Fernandez only 22nd and Marini third in front Open up, best beginner. Raffin surprises by closing the top 5. Almost everyone returns to the pits before setting off for the last fifteen minutes.
This last period begins with a Lüthi who climbs third. The Swiss continued his effort and achieved a 1'51.917. He is the second driver under 1'52 per lap. Bendsneyder puts his Japanese NTS sixth.
Alex Marquez is then fifteenth and therefore misses the potential entry into Q2. But he reacted in 1'51.679. Here he is second since Brad Binder improved to 1'51.303. Martin sits fourth with the second official KTM. He closes the list of drivers in 1'51. lecuona there is heat. He is 17th.

We're entering the last five minutes. Nagashima slams a 1'51.238. For 65 thousandths, he is in the lead. He improved to 1'51.107. Manzi shows itself again in a leading trio made up of three different chassis. Bezzecchi crash at turn 9. He was 28th. Lüthi heats up at turn 12.

Under the checkered flag, Brad Binder steals the show at home Nagashima in 1'51.055. Alex Marquez is third, Martin fourth and Gardner closes the top 5 ahead Manzi. Baldassarri fall at turn 1. Lüthi, Marini, Chantra et lecuona close the top 10. Fernandez, fifteenth, is outside the top 14 which qualifies for Q2.
